Fort Kent- Ovilla Bard, 78, died Oct. 18 1990, at a Frenchville nursing home. He was born at Fort Kent, Oct. 17, 1912, the son of Alfred and Victoria (Soucy) Bard. Mr. Bard was predeceased by his first wife, Annette (Plourde) Bard in 1945; and his second wife Gertrude (Pelletier) Bard in 1980. He is survived by four sons, Melvin Bard of Farmington, Ronald Bard of Bristol, Conn., Roland Bard of Fort Kent and Edwin Bard of Lisbon Falls; one daughter, Diane Blanchette of Millinocket; two brothers, Maurice Bard of Bristol, Conn., and Reginald Bard of Killingsworth, Conn.; four sister, Cecile Daigle, Anita Madore, both of Bristol, Conn., Theresa Belanger of Fort Kent and Edwina Daigle of Alcalgon, Califor,; 18 grandchildren, two great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a son, Carlton Bard, in 1981.
