Born on Aug. 29, 1914, in Allens Mills, Pa., she was the daughter of the late Walter and Lydia Mottern Reitz Sr.
She was married on Feb. 7, 1935, to Joseph W. Grady, and he preceded her in death on Aug. 13, 1970.
Martha was a homemaker and she enjoyed baking and cooking. She was non-denominational by faith.
She is survived by a son, Ken (Alma) Grady of Falls Creek; a daughter-in-law, Jane Grady of Brockport; two sisters, Ruth Burkett of Coolspring, Pa., Mary (Harry) Chitester of Brookville; and a brother, Raymond (Marlene) Reitz of Tennessee. Martha is also survived by eight grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren and four great-great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents and her husband she is preceded in death by a son, Donald Grady; a grandson, Michael Grady; three sisters, Ella Dunlap, Edna Sekel, Sara Preston; a brother, Walter Reitz Jr. and a toddler brother, Homer.
Calling hours will be on Friday, Sept. 22, from 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. at the Carlson-Shugarts Funeral Home Inc. in Brockway. A funeral service will be held on Saturday, Sept. 23 at 11 a.m. also at the funeral home with Dan Helenek and Bradley Wilson officiating. Burial will follow in the Temple Cemetery at Hazen.
