Fred is the son of John S. Williams and Julia O'Neal.

He served in World War I from Mar 1918 until April 27, 1919 in Infantry Battery F 91st Div 348 Field Artillery. He was honorably discharged.

He married first Gloe May Wilburn about 1930. Some say her name is Buzzard. She died in 1948.

He was a member of the Brotherhood of Locomotive Engineers.

Fred then married Maud M. Williams about 1949. She lives in the home at Pendleton, Oregon.

He is survived by a brother, George, of Portland. Several nieces and nephews.
