Dewayne Ford was a graduate of Rockdale High School and a member of the Big Blue Marching Band. He was baptized in his early teens at Hillcrest Baptist Church in Rockdale. He worked at McVoy Feed in Rockdale for several years before he moved to Houston where he worked as a waiter. He moved to Denver, Colorado and settled in Reno, Nevada the past eight years. He loved God, his family and friends. He had a kind and loving heart and never met a stranger. He had a gift of gab and made everyone feel good.
