Lemuel is the son of Charles Eugene Lawrence and Malinda Frye Brown. His parents apparently divorced in 1892 and his mother married Lewis P Brown in 1893. They would have a daughter, Edna L Brown, in 1901.
Lemuel married Clara Ollie Busenberg in 1915. They are the parents of Eva J Lawrence Huston, Fay Eugene , Roy Logan, Paul, Max Lawrence and Mary Melinda Lawrence Carpenter. He and Ollie later divorced.
Lemuel was a farmer who came to the asylum from Billings, MT. He was in care here for 1 yr 8 mo 20 days and died of Exhaustion from Cerebrospinal Lues (advanced syphilis).
About the time he became psychiatrically symptomatic there was a call in his home county to settle his father's estate by selling some of his land to pay off his debts. They were looking for Lemuel to be involved.
