MERCERSBURG, Pa. - Georgianna M. Burkholder, 78, of 2081 Fort Loudon Road, died Saturday, Feb. 18, 2006, at Memorial Medical Center, Johnstown, Pa.
Born Nov. 30, 1927, in Mercersburg, she was the daughter of the late George and Venie Wiser Zeger.
She was last employed at Harry Lackhove American Legion Post 517 of Mercersburg.
She was a member of Ebenezer United Brethren Church of Greencastle, Pa.
She was a member of the ladies auxiliaries of Clarence Armstrong VFW Post 6241 and Harry Lackhove American Legion Post 517, both of Mercersburg.
She is survived by her husband, Harry D. Burkholder, whom she married Dec. 3, 1945; one daughter, Cynthia Geyer of Mercersburg; three sisters, Isabell Hawk of Mercersburg, Kathleen Mellott of Fort Loudon, Pa., and Betty L. Allen of Abington, Md.; two brothers, George Zeger of Schaumburg, Ill., and Frederick Zeger of Chambersburg, Pa.; one granddaughter; and one great-grandson.
Visitation will be Tuesday from 7 to 9 p.m. at Lininger-Fries Funeral Home, Mercersburg.
Burial services will be private and at the convenience of the family.
