MORRIS REIDY, best known to his legion of friends in Western Bradford County as “Mott” Reidy, died in his Springfield Township home Monday morning, May 4th, 1931 after failing health of many months and serious illness of several weeks. He would soon have been 75 years old. Mr. Reidy was a native of Troy and spent his entire life in Troy and in Springfield Township, where, for many years, he was a prominent cattle buyer. Of recent years, he spent much of his time with his daughter, Mrs. Charles May, and family here. Of sunny and companionable disposition, he made friends easily and held them. Largely attended funeral services were held at 2 o’clock p.m. yesterday from the May home, rev. L. F. Basford officiating, and burial was in the family plot in Harkenssburg Cemetery. He is survived by two sons; Walter, who lives on the Reidy farm, Charles of Elmira; one daughter, Mrs. Charles P. May, Troy. There are two sisters living; Mrs. Michael Leary and Mrs. Michael McInerny, Buffalo (Troy Gazette Register).

Pennsylvania death record cites birth as 1856 but his date of birth was more likely in 1858.
