Ellsworth Curless Died Sunday In Peoria Hospital
Ellsworth Curless, a life long resident of this community, died at a hospital in Peoria, Sunday, at about noon, following an operation which was performed a few weeks ago. He was aged 59 years, 7 months and 25 days.The body was brought to the home of his brother Edward Curless, in Astoria, Monday, where the funeral was held this afternoon conducted by Rev. John Davis of Woodland. Burial in Astoria cemetery.

Mr. Curless was born in Bluff City, Schuyler County [Illinois] on August 12, 1869. About 25 years ago he was united in marriage to Ida Leek, she dying about ten months later. The deceased is survived by one brother, Edward of Astoria and one sister, Mrs. Ella Lancaster of Peoria. Also two half sisters, Mrs. Katie Salisbury of Peoria and Mrs. Alice Smith of San Diego, Calif. He was a member of the Moose lodge of Canton.
