WEBER, Ion M. Passed away peacefully on Monday, July 3, 2017, at St. Jacobs Place, at the age of 86 years. Beloved husband of Emma (Frey) Weber. Dear father of Vera and Ray Shantz of Floradale, Murray of Guelph, Ray and Evelene of Wingham, Ron and Barb of Okotoks, AB, Shirley and Willard Martin of Elmira. Stepfather of Leon and Erma Frey, John and Nancy Frey, all of Pennsylvania. Ion will be sadly missed by 10 grandchildren, 19 great- grandchildren, 11 step-grandchildren, 18 step-great-grandchildren, and the Ivan Sensenig family. Lovingly remembered by sisters-in-law Lucinda Weber, Salome Martin, and brother-in-law Murray Harris. Predeceased by his first wife Elmeda (Martin) Weber, parents Elam and Veronica (Martin) Weber, brothers Christian and Violet, Aden, Orvie, and sisters Maryann and Noah Martin, Minerva, and grandchildren Dwayne, Carolyn, and Judy. The family will receive relatives and friends on Wednesday, July 5, 2017 from 1-4 and 7-9 p.m. at the Dreisinger Funeral Home , 62 Arthur St. S., Elmira, where family service will be held in the funeral home chapel on Thursday, July 6, 2017 at 9 a.m. followed by burial and public service at Elmira Mennonite Meeting House, 68 Church St. W., Elmira.
