Jim drove a truck 36 years for Bray Trucking along with being a Kentucky Colonel. In addition to his parents Jim is preceded in death by his son Bobby Gene Bishop, brothers William and Dexter Bishop, sisters Christina Owens, Judy Owens, Brenda Tackett and Lena Orr. Survivors include his wife Shirley Cobb Bishop, children Donna Askin, Kathy Jo Bishop, Timmy Bishop, Eddie Bishop, Johnny (Jackie) Bishop, sister Nancy Seedle, 10 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren.
Visitation will be 4-8 pm Thursday, September 14, 2017 at the Peoples Funeral Home in Falmouth. Funeral Service will be held at 2 pm Friday, September 15, 2017 also at the funeral home. Jim’s final resting place will be in the Neave Cemetery in Bracken County, KY. Memorials, if desired, are suggested to American Heart Association, 7272 Greenville Avenue, Dallas, TX 75231-4596.
