Born to Herbert Eugene & Helen Opal (Hamilton) Fisher. Vernon worked 29 years at Prier Brass and Manufacturing, a foundry in Kansas City. He enjoyed old cars, going to casinos, talking with people and collecting old coins.

Vernon is survived by five brothers, Wayne Fisher of Butler, MO, David Fisher of Williamsville, MO, Roy (Carolyn) Fisher, Carl (Linda) Fisher, and Edward "Bobby" (Marsha) all of Harrisonville, MO; five sisters, Ina (Orville) Beasley of Garden City, MO, Elizabeth (Jim) Wimsatt of Mulino, OR, Virginia Lacy of Rogers, AR; Rose Sullins of Adrian, MO, and Mona (David) Evans o0f Dix, NE; and numerous nephews and nieces. He was preceded in death by his parents; and two brothers, Richard Fisher and Dwight Fisher.
