Anna Bartol born in Barnich, Belgium was the wife of Martin Schottler. They were the parents of 14 children. They settled in Germantown. Anna & Martin are buried with their son William. My source Jeanne Hoppe Pedriana direct descendant of Martin & Anna. 19 Mar 2009 William was almost finished with his studies to become a doctor at the Medical College of WI, when he was rushed to Trinity Hospital in Milwaukee. He had an appendix attack and died during an operation. He was 22. His body was sent by train, then horse and carriage to be laid to rest next to his parents in West Bend, WI. at Union Cemetery.

Their children were, Mary Schottler, 1866 – 1940; Johnnie Schottler, 1867 – 1869; Catherine L. "Katie" Schottler, 1868 – 1951; Louise Schottler, 1870 – 1954; Anna Schottler, 1871 – 1951; Sophie Schottler, 1873 – 1961; Martin Schottler, 1874 – 1952; Ida Schottler, 1875 – 1969; Mina "Minnie" Schottler, 1876 – 1931, William Schottler; 1879 – 1902; Edward Schottler, 1881 – 1965; Elizabeth Schottler, 1883 – 1961and Ella Schottler, 1885 – 1887.
