LOUISE B. WILLIAMS, 87 Bloomsburg, PA died at her home December 20, 2002 after a long period of declining health. Born on July 13, 1915 in Granville Township she was the only child of the late Julius W. and Matie E. (Rockwell) Bailey. She was a 1933 graduate of Troy High School and had resided in Bloomsburg since 1948 after living in Troy. Mrs. Williams was a secretary in the Athletic Department of Bloomsburg University from September 1967 until her retirement in December of 1991. She was a member of the English Baptist Church and also belonged to the Bloomsburg Business and Professional Women’s Club and the Espy Garden Club. Memberships also included Bloomsburg Chapter 279, Order of Easter Star, where she was past matron, The Bloomsburg Past Matron’s Association and the White Shrine in Jerusalem. Surviving are daughters, Mrs. Henry W. (Linda W.) Frew and Jan W. Hemma both of Danville and four grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert R. Williams, April 2, 1967. The funeral service was held December 24 at the Dean W. Kriner Inc. Funeral Home, Bloomsburg with the Rev. Allen F. Acor, pastor of Trinity United Church of Christ, Strawberry Ridge officiating. Interment was in the New Rosemont Cemetery, Espy. –Canton Independent Sentine
