Benjamin married (2) Martha Mendenhall, daughter of Lydia Roberts and Benjamin Mendall, at Concord Friends Mtg on 3 mo 21, 1746.

He built a stone house in 1753, a little east from the first dwelling. This home, along with an addition made by grandson, Jesse Darlington, in 1802, became Jesse's home.
