Levi was a family physcian. He graduated from Berkshire Medical College in Massachusetts in 1835. He practiced medicine in Massachusetts for six years. He was a doctor in Dutchess County, New York where he practiced with his son-in-law Dr William H Parsons. In 1871 he was a physician in Atchison, Kansas where his son-in-law also practiced medicine.
In 1885 he was living with Luzilla in Glenwood, Iowa. Shortly after the couple moved to Omaha where Levi was part owner of Hubbard & Martin Hardware Store. His partner was Joseph G Martin.
Levi's burial date was November 1st, 1888.
