Reference: Obituary - Tompson, Walter - (March 11, 1921 – Sunday February 5, 2017) - Peacefully in his sleep at Algoma Manor at the age of 95. Beloved husband of the late Gladys (nee Tulloch) for over 73 years. Devoted and loving father of David (late Margo) and the late Carol (Mike Ross). Proud and loving Grandpa of Corwin (Laura), Sarah and Kimberly (Daryl). Great Grandpa of Cale and Keenan. Brother of the late Dan Tompson (late Dorothy), late Dick Tompson (late Irene), late Chuck Tompson (late Irene), late Ruth Blackburn (late Dennis). Survived by his dear sisters-in- law Doris Behnke (late Lawrence) and Enid Mahoney (late Ivan Asselin) and Reta Tulloch (late Frank). Brother–in-law of the late Nolene Warnock (late Orville), late James Tulloch (late Shirley), late Woodrow Tulloch (late Ruby), late Shirley MacTavish (late Floyd) and late Flora Dionisi (late Bob). Cherished uncle to his many nieces and nephews who have fond memories of their time together at Iron Bridge. Walter, our Wally, will be greatly missed, beyond words, by all of his family and friends, and yet we celebrate knowing he is with God, his Lord and Saviour. Visitation at Beggs Funeral Home in Thessalon on Saturday February 11th at 2:30 p.m. followed by a service at 3:00pm and a time for fellowship afterwards. Spring Internment Carlyle Cemetery. A heartfelt thank you to all of those who contributed to his care and comfort during these past years. Memorial contributions to Galilean Bible Camp where Wally and Gladdie contributed to for so many years, or to their local church Gospel Fellowship Church of Iron Bridge, would be appreciated by the family.
