Roy Edward East was born in May, 1886, in Archer City, Archer County, Texas, to Edward Hudson East and Hattie Ragan. Roy stood 6ft. tall, had blue eyes, brown hair and a light complexion.

He was married to Ione French. There were no children listed for them. Roy was a stockman on the Norias Ranch in Armstrong, Kenedy County, Texas. He had also been a cattle dealer in Nueces County, Texas.

Roy enlisted in the Texas Rangers as a SPECIAL RANGER on December 22, 1917 thru January 15, 1919. In 1920 he was a ranchman in Kleberg County, Texas. Roy Edward East died on March 1, 1941 in Kleberg County, Texas. (Written by Nancy Brown)
