Her father Joseph had seven children with his first wife Phoebe Bush and with his second wife Lydia Burton they had nine children. After Joseph's death Lydia remarried to Elijah Harding and they had three more children. From the records that I can find Anzonetta has eight full-siblings and 10 half-siblings for a total of 18, plus Anzo makes a total of 19 siblings. Plus one Harding step-sister born after Lydia's death.
Her family is on both the Kansas Federal Census in 1860 and the May 31, 1865 Kansas State Census living in Center Township, Atchinson County, Kansas, the Post Office is Pardee. Her family is again on the KS State Census on Aug 25, 1865 where Anzo's family moved to Eureka, Greenwood County, Kansas to help establish a Church of Christ in Eureka, Kansas.
Her family had only been in Eureka, Greenwood County, Kansas less than a year when her father Joseph drown on May 24, 1866 trying to cross the Cottonwood River in Lyon County, Kansas. Anzonetta was only three years old when her father died.
On her father's will dated July 02, 1866 the courts list Joseph Boyer Reynolds surviving children as:
(Phoebe's children)
Lydia B. Hagan (s/b Hogan)
Elisabeth Popham
William T. Reynolds
Malindy Allen
Charles A. Reynolds
(Lydia's children)
Walter S. Reynolds
Sarah F. Reynolds,
John F. Reynolds,
Horace M. Reynolds
Anzonetta Reynolds,
Tabitha E. Reynolds(used Ella),
Manerva E. Reynolds (s/b Minerva Evelyn).
JBR and Phoebe's 2 children Rachel and James died before July 1866.
JBR and Lydia's 2 children Margaret 'Margie' and Martha died before July 1866.
After her father's death the family returned to Northeast Kansas. In 1870 when Anzo was seven yrs old her mother Lydia married Elijah Harding and her family is on the 1870 Federal Census in Osawkie, Jefferson County, Kansas and her name is misspelled as Amorette Reynolds. Elijah and Lydia Harding had three more children: Eliza, Gilbert and Noah.
On the 28th of June 1880 Anzo N. Reynolds age 18 of Jefferson County KS and Hahnemann Brooks Hayward age 24 of Jefferson County KS were married at Oskaloosa Kansas in the M.E. Church by G.R. Houis as per the Jefferson County Marriage Records Book, Book C, Page 248. Hahnemann's name is misspelled on the record-they did spell Hayward correctly.
Her husband Hahnemann was a Carpenter born in New Hampshire who had recently moved to Kansas from Ohio with his older brothers, they are on the June 10, 1880 Federal Census in Rock Creek, Jefferson County, Kansas and he is listed as H.B. Hayward. They are also on the 1885 Kansas State Census living in Rock Creek, Jefferson County as Hanna and Anzo Hayward with daughters, Mabel-3 years and Edith-1 years old. Their daughter Rachel 'Rae' is not yet born-she was born in 1886.
From the records I have found Hahnemann and Anzo Hayward had ten children. I think the first four were born in Kansas before the family migrated by train to the Pacific Northwest. I think their son Roy was born in Oregon or Washington in 1890 but I have not found proof yet. Their son Robert 'Dell' list Kansas and Washington as where he was born. Their son Frank is documented as being born in Castle Rock, Cowlitz County, Washington on Oct 20, 1892.
Their 10 children are:
Mabel 'May' Theresa Yedd
Edith Winifred Fickel
Rachel 'Rae' Enid Wortman
Robert "Dell' Wendell Hayward
Roy Hahnemann Hayward
Frank Ernest Hayward
Hazel Nona Bateman
Chrystal Erdis Meinyer
Georgia Thelma Brohlin
