"Mrs. Emma Ebach, 77, a former resident of Saginaw, died Thrusday at the home of her sister, Mrs. Michael Kosal, at Palms, MI. Emma Guitar was born in Alsace-Lorraine on June 8, 1849, and came to America with her parents when a child. The family settled in Ruth, MI, where she was married to Mr. Ebach in 1869. They came to Saginaw in 1876. Mr. Ebach died in Tell City, IN, in 1913. After Mr. Ebach's death, she lived with her daughter, Mrs. Jacob Zoercher, at Tell City, until Mrs. Zoercher death in 1920. She came to Saginaw and lived with her sister, Mrs. Mary Ebach, until March of this year, when she went to Palms. She leaves four sisters, Mrs. Mary Ebach, Saginaw; Mrs. Kate Brown, Seattle, WA; Mrs. John Ebach, Ruth, MI; and Mrs. Michael Kosal, Palms, MI; and two brothers, Nicholas; and Joseph Guitar, Ruth, MI, and her son-in-law, Jacob Zoercher, Tell City, IN.
The funeral will take place at 8:30 a.m. Monday from the home of her sister, Mrs. Ebach, 503 North Oakley Street, and at 9 a.m. from St. Andrew's Church. Rev. Fr. H. P. Maus will officiate, and burial will be in St. Andrew's Cemetery."
