Lawrence County Record, April 25, 2001: 'Monett - Services for Irma D. Woods, 61, Monett, were at 1 p.m. Tuesday, April 24, 2001, at Fellowship Baptist Church, Aurora, with Brothers Lee Parsons, Jim Gray and Melvin Williams officiating. Burial was in Goss Cemetery, Mt. Vernon, under the direction of Buchanan of Monett.

Mrs. Wood died at 7:55 p.m. Saturday, April 21, at St. John's Regional Health Center, Springfield.

She was born June 27, 1939, at Mt. Vernon to George Mike and Nora Hagemeier Neely. A homemaker, she was a member of Fellowship Baptist Church in Aurora. She owned and was retired from Woods Shop in Monett.

She married Larry Wood on Feb. 14, 1958, in Mt. Vernon. He survives.

Other survivors include three daughters, Mitzi Doss of Monett, Teresa Purtle of Villa Ridge, and Tamara Williams of Springfield; her mother, Nora Neely of Monett; one brother, Michael Neely of Mt. Vernon; two sisters, Mary Biellier and Kay Murray, both of Mt. Vernon; and five grandchildren.'
