Larry C. Wood, 84 of Monett, MO. went to be with his Lord and Savior on Saturday, September 4, 2021.
Larry was born on February 15, 1937 in Lawrence County, MO. to Edward and Charlotte (Nivens) Wood. He graduated from Miller High School in 1955.
For many years, Larry worked for Hiland Dairy. In 1987 he and his wife, Irma opened the Wood's in Monett which they owned and operated until 1999.
On February 14, 1958 in Mt. Vernon, MO., Larry married Irma Neely. To this union they were blessed with three daughters. Larry and Irma were married for over 43 years until her passing on April 21, 2001. On February 4, 2002 Larry was united in marriage to Mary Reid.
Larry was preceded in death by his wife, Irma,; grandson, Derek Doss; one brother, Jerry Wood and one sister, Lynda Bowles.
Larry is survived by his wife, Mary; three daughters, Mitzi Doss of Monett, Teresa Purtle of Republic and Tamara Williams of Springfield; three step-children, Steve Reid of Purdy, Jeff Reid of Monett and Jodi Brown of St. Louis; 4 grandchildren; 8 step-grandchildren; 6 great-grandchildren; 16 step-great-grandchildren; one brother, Don Wood; two sisters, Sue Cobb and Wanda Witherspoon; as well as a host of Nieces, nephews and extended family and friends.
