Robert M. Casper, 84, Green Bay, died Monday morning, Jan. 4, 1999, at a local nursing home. Born in Chilton on Aug. 27, 1914, he was the son of the late Marcus and Nell (Schoenberger) Casper. Bob was a graduate of Chilton High School. He married the former Delphine Daun on Dec. 30, 1939, in Chilton. Bob was the owner and founder of Casper Insurance Agency, retiring in 1976. He was a member of the Elks Club, De Pere Rotary, Northeastern Wisconsin Lakeshore and Fox River Beagle Clubs, Advisory Board of the American Kennel Club. Bob enjoyed hunting, fishing, beagle field trials and especially, times spent with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
He is survived by wife, Delphine; three children and spouses, Bob and Susan Casper, Little Silver, N.J., Tom and Carla Casper, De pere, Nancy Blochowiak and special friend, John Shepherd, Green Bay; 10 grandchildren, Christie Casper and Tim Amundson, Green Bay, Corrine Casper, Boston, Mass., Brad Casper, Green Bay, Derrick Casper, De Pere, tom and Amy Blochowiak, Green Bay, Tim Blochowiak, Green Bay, Scott and Tiffany Casper, Elberon, N.J., Jeff and Karne Casper, Sleepy Hollow, N.Y., Lindsay White and Taylor White, Little Silver, N.J.; four great-grandchildren, Kelsey Amundson, Kaitlin Amundson, Brandon Blochowiak and Brianna Blochowiak, all of Green Bay; four brothers and sisters and spouses, Alice and Dean Connors, Chilton, Marie Nitzke, Madison, Mark and jean Casper, Portage, Jerry and Marie Casper, Green Bay; three sisters-in-law, Sophie Casper, Manhattan Beach, Calif., Dorothy Casper, Madison, Theresa Casper, Connecticut; many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by three brothers, Arthur, Lawrence and Edward Casper.
There will be no visitation. PRIVATE FAMILY SERVICES will be held Thursday, 11 a.m. at Nicolet Memorial Gardens. Malcore Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
In lieu of other expressions of sympathy, a memorial fund has been established.
