Lori Lynn was born on December 26, 1959 to parents Kenneth D. and Maryann S. (Norby) Hermanson in Albert Lea, MN. She graduated from Albert Lea High School in 1978. Lori went on to graduate from Michael’s School of Cosmetology and later earned her AA degree in Psychology and Social Services from Austin Community College in 1991. Lori was employed by Dinah’s Style. She absolutely loved her job and referred to it as her dream job!
Most cherished in Lori’s life was her family, friends, and her cat, Nikki. She welcomed family and friends for countless hours of visiting on her deck, sharing great conversation and many unforgettable laughs! Throughout her battle with cancer, she never failed to create fun. Lori loved wildlife and was entertained by “her” ducks and geese that visited her every day, and on occasion, deer. In addition to long, scenic drives, she loved good flea markets and second-hand shops! Finding a bargain was a serious point of joy for Lori! Her laughter will be forever remembered by all that knew her!
Survivors include her son, Adam (Lacey) Clay; grandchildren, Rhea Luna-Clay, Zoie Luna-Clay, Jali Luna-Clay, and Chance Clay; father, Kenneth Hermanson; sister, Debra (Robert Jr.) Arnold; nephews, Shane (Karina) Arnold and their children Ava Jo and Maddox, Casey (Vanessa) Arnold; as well as several aunts, uncles, cousins, and many friends.
Lori was preceded in death by her beloved mother, Maryann Sue Hermanson, and her grandparents.
A special thank you to the Oncology Department, emergency room staff, nurses, and doctors at Mayo, Albert Lea and Rochester, and the Hospice staff.
Words from Lori:
“Butterfly kisses for my Dad who has not missed a day with me since my diagnosis. I love you, Dad!”
“Thank you to all my family and friends who comforted and supported me and most of all, loved me through my journey – you are the Wind Beneath My Wings.”
There's still time to send flowers to the Memorial Service at the Bonnerup Funeral & Cremation Services - Albert Lea at 2:00 PM on September 7, 2017.
