SPRINGFIELD, IL - Amelia Vangeison, 98, died at 8:16 a.m. on Sunday, May 25, 2014, at Oak Terrace.
Amelia was born Jan. 21, 1916, in Springfield, the daughter of Edward August and Mary Ellen Ostenburg Noll.
She married H.R. Graves in 1938; he preceded her in death.
She later married Everett "Sam" Vangeison on March 6, 1970, in Springfield; he also preceded her in death.
Amelia graduated from Springfield High School and was employed with Security Federal Savings and Loan until her retirement in 1981.
She was also preceded in death by her parents; seven siblings; and her niece, Joyce Rodgers.
She is survived by her daughter, Kathleen Graves Walsh of Fontana, Wis., stepdaughter, Evelyn (husband, Alvin) Schluter of Champaign; two grandchildren, Kevin (wife, Lindsay) Walsh of Plymouth, Minn., and Brian (wife, Carrie) Walsh of Vernon Hills, Ill.; and six great-grandchildren: Shaila, Paxton, Heyden, Mason, Liam and McKenna.
Cremation was accorded by Lincoln Land Cremation Society.
Ceremonies will be held at a later date.
