(1944-2017)

Mr. George D. Hobbs, Age 73, of Vanceburg, Kentucky passed away Wednesday August 30th, 2017 with his family by his side at his home.

George was born in Maysville, Kentucky June 5, 1944 to the late George Bruce and Ruby Lee Riley Hobbs. George was a custodian for the Lewis County Courthouse also worked for U.S. Shoe in Vanceburg and in Ripley, Ohio. He also worked for the Copeland Corporation in West Union, Ohio. George was a member of the Vanceburg United Methodist Church. He enjoyed watching and participating in his grandchildrens' activities.

Surviving George is his wife of 41 years Mary Miller Hobbs of Vanceburg, Ky.; two daughters, Kim Hobbs and Leanna (Sean) Pollock. Four grandchildren also survive who will mourn his passing.

A Memorial service will be held Tuesday September 5th, 2017 at 11:00 am at the Gaydos Funeral Home 159 2nd Street Vanceburg, Kentucky 41179.

Burial will be at the convenience of the family.
