Anna Mae Sparks, 61, of Waterloo, died Wednesday, August 30 at her home of natural causes.

She was born October 16, 1955 in Vinton, Iowa, daughter of Eldon Leroy and Patricia Ann Evens Koehn.

She married Lyle James Dean and later divorced. She then married Garland Wright Sparks. He died October 8, 2001. She had a significant other, James V. Fisher. He died November 28, 2014.

Anna Mae worked as a bartender at the Fraternal Order of the Eagle’s Club.

Survived by: a son, Shane (Jennell) Dean of Boone; three daughters, Stacy (Jeff) Diveley of Shellsburg, Shannon Mettlin of Vinton and Samantha Dean of Cedar Rapids; nine grandchildren, Wade, Lexi, Bella, MeKinze, Brady, Keeley, Kole, Kristina and Dakota; five great-grandchildren; three sisters, Dot (Rod) Maudlin of Eddyville, Connie (Bill) Greene of Walford and Karen (Dave) Rains of Sigourney.

Preceded in death by: her parents; a grandson, Josey.
