Patricia Koehn SHELLSBURG—Patricia A. "Pat" Koehn, 59, died Thursday, April 18,1996 at Sunrise Hospital, Las Vegas, NV, from complications of Lou Gehrig's Disease while vacationing with her daughter. She was born December 25,1936 in rural Shellsburg, the daughter of Ray and Jessie Kearns Evens. She married Eldon L. Koehn February 13, 1955 at Grace Trinity Church, Shellsburg. He preceded her in death December 1,1987. Prior to her retirement in 1990, she was employed as an apartment manager by the H.R. Lubben Company in Cedar Rapids. She was a member of Grace Trinity Church and a charter member of the Eagles Auxiliary. She is survived by four daughters and three sons-in-law, Annamae and Garland Sparks.Waterloo.Dorothy and Rod Maudlin, Eddyville, Karen and David Rains, Washington, and Connie Green and her companion, Chuck Vopalka,Walford; ten grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; seven brothers, Arnold Evens, Carson, CA; Floyd Evens, Riversides CA; Ronald Evens, Yuca Valley, CA; Dale and Joseph Evens, Vinton; Carl Evens, Toledo, OH;" Arthur Evens, Cedar Rapids; and one sister and brother-in law, Marcella and David Sheffler, Mount Auburn. In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents; one brother, Matthew; and two sisters, Esther Evens and Arlene Werner. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m., Tuesday April 23,1996 at Grace Trinity Church with Rev. Greg Judy officiating. Burial will be at Oakwood Cemetery, Shellsburg. The family will receive friends from 4- 8 p.m. Monday (today) at the Phillips Funeral Home, Vinton. The casket will remain closed at all times. A memorial fund has been established.
