Jolie is the daughter of Donald Bruce Nixon and Catherine Dalon Nixon, both lived in Atlanta at the time of her death.

Jolie was College bound. She was a Senior at Briarcliff High. She was scheduled to graduate with her high school diploma in June 1977.

Information provided to me by a fellow Volunteer. She was highly focused on going to College. Jolie was a victim of homicide by a drunk driver on Clairmont Road. She was on her way to get a book from a bookstore when she was hit.

Alcohol can be misused as a recreational drug. Jolie was completely innocent, and lost her life to someone who temporarily behaved thoughtlessly, selfishly, intentionally getting behind the wheel of a car that became a two-ton weapon. When uncontrolled, a vehicle becomes a weapon. I am sure if she had survived, Jolie would want everyone to be careful in the amount of alcohol they drink.

Jolie was loved dearly by her parents, other family, and many friends. Many deserve this great fortune but never know it.
