Joseph F. Wirth was born near Prophetstown, IL on March 21, 1866, the son of Bernhardt & Mary Butterbaugh Wirth. He married Mrs. Ida Quinn on May 11, 1911. He passed away on Friday, April 30, 1926 at his home in Rock Falls at the age of 60. The Funeral was conducted by Rev. J.G. Little of the Baptist Church on Monday at the family home. Interment was made at the I.O.O.F. Cemetery in Rock Falls. He was survived by his wife and two brothers; Jacob Wirth of Prophetstown and George Wirth of Davenport.
