Nora Brown, 79, a longtime Mimbres resident, entered life eternal Saturday evening in Mimbres. She was born Jan. 21, 1914, in Reserve and was a homemaker. Mrs. Brown was a member of the San Lorenzo Catholic Church, and Senior Citizens Center. Calling hours will be from 3-9 p.m. Wednesday at Baca's Funeral Chapels, where the rosary will be held at 7 with Deacon Alfonso Alvarado reciting. The Mass of the Christian burial will be celebrated Thursday morning at 10 at St. Francis Catholic Church in Reserve with the Rev. Hugh O'Neal officiating. Interment will follow at Lower Frisco Cemetery in Reserve, where she will be laid to rest. Survivors include one daughter, Ruby Udero of Mimbres; a sister, Pearl Kelly of Glenwood; six grandchildren, Frank Alderette of Mimbres, David Ramey of Bayard, and Karen Taber, Trudy Brown, Gary Brown and Debra Gunther, all of Fort Worth, Texas; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. She was preceded in death by her son, Charles Brown, and her brother, Celedon F. Serna. Casket bearers will be Frank Alderette, David Ramey, David Ramey Jr., Bill Ramey, Carl Scholl and Chuck Marsh. Entrusted to the care of Baca's Funeral Chapels.
