Betty M. Mays, 85, of Myerstown, died Thursday, August 24, 2017 at StoneRidge Towne Centre, Myerstown, while surrounded by her loving family.
She was the wife of Thomas J. Mays, who died November 27, 2008.
Born in Myerstown on November 3, 1931, she was the daughter of the late Levi and Mamie (Boltz) Achey.
Betty was a 1949 graduate of Myerstown High School. She enjoyed sewing, quilting, and flower gardening.
She is survived by daughters, Sandra, companion of Homer Gettel, of Frystown, Susan, wife of Scott Lee, of Womelsdorf; a son, Bruce, husband of Patti Mays, of Myerstown; her companion, Robert Engle, of Lebanon; seven grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; sisters, Bernice, wife of Stanley Smith, of Myerstown, Shirley Dabich, of Lebanon; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by a son, Scott Mays.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, August 30, 2017 at 11 a.m. at Grose Funeral Home, 358 W. Washington Ave., Myerstown, preceded by a viewing beginning at 10 a.m. Interment will be at Mt. Hope Cemetery, Myerstown.
