Carol Goddard

Carol A. Goddard, 78, of Kankakee, passed away Saturday morning (Nov. 18, 2023).
She was born Oct. 11, 1945, in Kankakee, the daughter of Clarence and Mardell (Anderson) Peters. On Dec. 3, 1977, she married Morton Goddard in Bradley.
Carol worked in the business office at The Daily Journal, Kankakee, for many years.
She was a member of River Valley Christian Fellowship and was in the Women of the Moose.
Carol enjoyed completing word searches, working in the yard and with her flowers. She liked to listen to country music and anything to do with NASCAR. Carol loved all types of jewelry, she always had to wear her "bling."
Surviving are her beloved husband, Mort Goddard; a stepdaughter, Christine (David) Glogowski; grandson, Shane (Emily) Wells; great-grandsons, Jude Wells and Caiden Goddard; and brothers, Art (Darlene) Peters, Michael Peters and Edward Peters.
Preceding her in death were her parents; a stepson, Scott Goddard; and a grandson, Travis Goddard.
Visitation will be from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 21, at Jensen Funeral Home, Kankakee. The funeral service will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday, Nov. 22, also at Jensen Funeral Home, Kankakee. Burial will immediately follow in Ashkum Cemetery.
