Louis Brantley, 68, born July 1, 1949 went to be with God on August 25, 2017. Louis was a Vietnam Veteran who received the Purple Heart and Bronze Star.

Funeral services will be at Dean Baptist Church 2:00PM Monday, August 28th and visitation will be held Sunday, August 27th starting at 4:00PM at Dean Baptist Church. Burial will be at Reppond Cemetery near Dean with arrangements under the direction of Farrar Funeral Home of Farmerville.

He is preceded in death by his parents Arthur & Gracie Brantley, sister-Glenda Johannesen; brothers-W.J., Arthur, Carl, Joe Reese and Lavelle Brantley.

Survivors include his wife Charlotte Brantley whom he was married to for 48 years; son- Stanley Brantley and wife Tracy; daughters-Patty Younis and Ashley Herring and husband David; grandchildren: Kristyn Brantley and Johnathon Brantley; great grandchildren: Gabe Carter and Eli Watkins "Eagle Eye"; brother-Fate Brantley and wife Mary; sisters: Maude Rogers, Patricia Reid and husband Wayne, Fro Banner and Emma Jean Desadier. He also has numerous nieces, nephews and many friends.

Pallbearers will be Mitchell McKinnie, James Brantley, Roy Reppond, Dusty Scarborough, Roger Baker and Chris Brantley.

Honorary pallbearers will be Londell Thompson and Mens' Sunday School Class, Vietnam Veterans Reunion Group of Company A 1st & 12th Infantry 4th Division.
