Carlwyn Roy Loewe, 77, of Hallettsville, passed away peacefully after an extended illness on Tuesday, August 22, 2017, in Victoria. He was born on November 29, 1939 to Willie Gus & Leona Henrichs Loewe in the Breslau Community. He grew up in the Breslau Community, and graduated from Hallettsville High School in 1958. He served his country through the United States Army, and retired from the United States Postal Service in 2008.

Carlwyn had a passion for a hard day’s work, working at the farm with his cows, riding his tractor and spending time with his family. He was an avid St. Louis Cardinals fan, loved a good polka song and his old western movies.

Carlwyn was preceded in death by his parents.

Funeral Service: 10 am, Friday, August 25, 2017, at Zion Lutheran Church of Moulton. Visitation: 5 pm, Thursday at Kubena Funeral Home with Prayer Service starting at 6:30 pm. Pallbearers: Jason Trlica, Jarod Trlica, Bruce Nowak, Ryan Schmidt, Alex Delgado and Calvin Knapp. Officiant: Rev. Melanie Monroe. Memorials: Breslau Cemetery Association or Donor’s Choice. Burial: Breslau Lutheran Cemetery.
