Don enjoyed woodworking, working with stained glass, taking many hunting and fishing trips and loved camping at Grand Maris in the UP. He graduated from Palo High School as Valedictorian with the Class of 1940, and was a member of Oakwood Christian Reformed Church.
He was married on July 7, 1945 in Belding to Eva Rich who preceded him in 2016. He was also preceded by his parents, brothers; Harold, Keith, Kenneth, Glen, Ver and sister Carol.
Donald is loved by his children; Erick Edwards of San Diego, CA, Peter (Linnette) Edwards of Rockford and Gretchen Edwards of Belding, four grandchildren, six great grandchildren and sister Dorothy McKinley.
In keeping with his wishes cremation has taken place and private family services will be held. Memorials may be given to the Alzheimer's Association. Envelopes are available at Johnson-Feuerstein Funeral Home where funeral care has been entrusted.
