Mrs. Belle Putnam Leamon, 81, of Sprakers, died yesterday at Amsterdam Memorial Hospital after a long illness.
Born in Carlisle, Mrs. Leamon had lived in the Sprakers area many years. She was the widow of Ward Leamon who died in 1964.
She was a member of the Curry Town Reformed Church and is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Bertha Putnam and Mrs. Anna Mae Montanye, both of Canojoharie; a son Harold Leamon of Sprakers; 10 grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held Monday at the Houghtaling Funeral Home in Canojoharie. Burial will be in Sloansville.

Born January 17, 1889 in the Town of Carlisle, she was the daughter of William and Millie Allen Putnam. Her husband, Ward Leamon died in August of 1964. She was a member of the Currytown Reformed Church.
She is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Bertha Putnam and Mrs. Anna Mae Montanye, both of Canojoharie; a son Harold Leamon of Sprakers; 10 grandchildren and several nieces and nephews and cousins.
Funeral services will be held at 2 pm Monday at the Houghtaling Funeral Home, Canojoharie with the Rev. Earl Van Leeuwen, pastor of the Canajoharie Reformed Church officiating. Burial in Sloansville Cemetery.
