RATCLIFF, WILLIAM LINDSAY age 84 of Knoxville, passed away on December 4, 2011.
He was a loving husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather.
He was a talented master craftsman with a passion for his work.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Bill Ratcliff and Lula Ratcliff and grandson, Graham Ratcliff Taylor.
He is survived by his wife of 66 years, Inez Lovelace Ratcliff; daughter, Connie Ford and husband John; son, Glenard Ratcliff and wife Doren; daughter, Dawn Channell and husband Mike; son, Paul Ratcliff and wife Anita; grandchildren, Scott Taylor, Melissa Culver, Tiffany Reid, Sommer Ayers, Wesley Channell and Heather Walker; great-grandchildren, Alexandria, Ashton, Ava, Caden, Cameron, Gavin, Grayson, Dylan and Piper.
He is survived by brothers, John Ratcliff and wife Sarah, Jerry Ratcliff and wife Ann, Terry Ratcliff and wife Mary Lynn; as well as several nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends on Thursday, December 8, 2011 from 5:00 - 7:00 pm at Gentry-Griffey Funeral Chapel in Fountain City with a Memorial Service to follow officiated by Jerry Ratcliff.
The family would like to thank Dr. John Vannoy and Tennova Residential Hospice for their care.
