Vivian R. Price, 95, of Arlington, passed away Monday, August 14, 2017.
Memorial Service: 10:00 AM Saturday at Vandergriff Chapel of First United Methodist Church, Arlington,Texas .
Viewing: 10:00 AM until 7:00 PM Friday at Greenwood-Arlington Chapel.

Vivian was born November 7, 1921 in Waxhaw, N.C. to Myrtle and Luke McCorkle. She graduated from Queens College in Charlotte, N.C. with a degree in business. After graduation from college, she was an airline stewardess with TWA airlines. She met her beloved husband, Vernon Price, while they were based in Washington D.C. during World War II. They married in 1945, prior to the ending of the war. He preceded her in death in 1989.
Vivian received her teaching certificate after she was married and enjoyed 38 years of teaching. She greatly enjoyed a wonderful marriage with her husband, her many years of teaching and spending time with a multitude of friends. She was an astute businesswoman and loved reading the Wall Street Journal daily. She was very intelligent and was quick to laugh. Though she was a longtime resident of Arlington, she never lost her love of North Carolina.
She was a member of First United Methodist Church of Arlington.
The family would like to express their thanks to the loving caretakers who looked after her the last several years of her life, especially Wanda Evans.
Vivian is survived by her family, which she held very dear to her heart: son, Dr. Gary Price and wife, Dr. Karen Price; grandchildren, Anna, and husband, Dr. Robert Heyer, and Jonathan Price; great-grandchildren, Henry and Harrison Heyer.
