The services were held from the undertaking parlors of L.S. Beckley, Reverend Chas. Scott officiating and the remains were laid to final rest by the side of those of his wife in the Ventura Cemetery.
Since the death of his helpmeet fifteen years ago, Mr. Allyn has made his home in various parts of the state returning here about four months ago to await the final summons at the old Santa Ana homestead, which he owned and occupied in former years, but which he recently deeded to his daughter-in-law, Mrs. W. F. Allyn, retraining a life estate in the property.
Deceased was a native of Connecticut and is survived by three sons.
He was a brother of C.E. Allyn a former resident of Ventura, now of Los Angeles and an uncle of our townsman, Chas. Allyn.
