Rebecca Reid Acheson, wife of James Ancheson, died at their home in Oxnard Sunday morning from a a form of heart trouble and funeral services were held Tuesday from the Presbyterian Church. Interment was made in Ventura Cemetery.
Mrs. Acheson was born in Achonrey, Sligo County, Ireland, March 12, 1847. She was married to James Acheson of Roscommon County in 1867, their marriage being performed by Lord Mont Morris, dean of Achonrey.
She resided in Oxnard about one year.
She is survived by her husband and eight children.
