Harriet Delilah (Chew) Boyer, 95, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on Monday, October 30, 2023.
She was born in Glenns Valley, IN to Martha (Glenn) Chew and Ralph Chew on May 18, 1928. Harriet grew up on a farm and was the youngest of six sisters and two brothers.
Harriet graduated from Southport High School in 1948. She worked at Bobbs-Merrill until starting her family with Carl Boyer on August 14, 1953. The joy of her life were her two children, five grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. She loved Christmas, shopping, and spending time with her family.
Harriet was preceded in death by her husband of 44 years, Carl Boyer, on March 18, 1997.
Funeral service will be at 11:00 AM on Friday, November 3, 2023 with a visitation one hour prior at Singleton and St. Pierre Funeral & Cremation Services, 7602 Madison Ave. Indianapolis, IN 46227. She will be laid to rest in Mt. Pleasant Cemetery in Greenwood, IN.
