Funeral to be Saturday for Mrs. Opal Andrews
Franklin - Funeral services will be conducted at 10 a.m. Saturday from the Vandivier-Parsley Funeral Home for Opal Lucille Andrews, who passed away early this morning at her residence on Rural Route 5 in Franklin.
Although Mrs. Andrews had been in failing healthy since January, death came suddenly this morning at 4 a.m.
Mrs. Andrews was the wife of Robert Andrews. The family had resided in Greenwood before coming to Franklin two years ago.
She was born in New Castle, Indiana, September 2, 1922, to S. E. Parnell and Della Mae Stinson Parnell.
She was married July 2, 1949 to Robert Andrews in New Castle. He survives her. Other survivors include five children, Karen, Lynn, Heather, Kevin and Valarie, all at home.
Mrs. Andrews was active in the Johnson County Association for Retarded Children and had served as secretary at the time of her death.
Friends may call at Vandivier-Parsley Funeral Home on Friday from 2-5 in the afternoon and from 7-8 that evening.
Graveside rites will be conducted at 2 p.m. on Saturday at South Mound Cemetery in New Castle.
