Leo Franklin "Frank" Elder
1963 - 2017

Early Life: Frank was born October 29, 1963, in Spanish Fork, Utah, to Leo Edward "Ted" Elder and Carol Laverne Lowe Elder. He graduated from Springville High School in 1981.
Life's Work | Service | Interests: He married his sweetheart, Carolee McKell, on September 16, 1983; they were then sealed for time and all eternity in the Salt Lake LDS Temple on February 2, 1985. Frank was an exceptional man who lived to serve others. He enjoyed many hobbies and especially loved anything to do with the outdoors. Frank worked at Geneva Steel until it closed and then went back to school, where he graduated with honors from Utah Valley University and became a registered nurse. His final years were given in service as a nurse at the Utah State Developmental Center, where he cared for and watched over people with disabilities. He was a large but gentle man who gave and loved freely. His love for his sweetheart was unwavering. He enjoyed being a dad to his children and, over the years, became a friend and the greatest support to them. He adored his grandchildren and loved teaching them and including them in his different hobbies. Leo Franklin “Frank" Elder was called home unexpectedly on August 15, 2017.
Family Message: "His presence on this earth will be greatly missed; however, the knowledge that he will be awaiting his loved ones with big, open arms will be a comfort to those who remain on this earth as they continue to prepare to reunite with him eternally."
Survived By: His wife; son, Joshua Edward Elder (Candas); daughter, Kellie Ann Elder; son, Trevor Donald Elder; his grandchildren: Olivia, Henry, Ellie, and Porter; his siblings: Ted Elder (Christy), Jackie Christensen (Randy), Hazel Higginson, Shaun Elder (Margie); and many nephews, nieces, and other family members who loved him dearly.
Preceded In Death By: His parents; brother, Shelley; and brother-in-law, Rodger Higginson.
