There seems be a number of researchers putting his father as Jonathan or John Akers born ether 1781 or a Jonathan b. 1790. Both of these people have died also at different places and dates. The one Jonathan who died in Kentucky in 1855 seemed to have had a child born after 1807 named also Andrew Akers. Another Jonathan Akers died after 1860 in Smyth Co. Virginia along with a second wife Rebecca Radliff so some people say could have been Andrews father as well, for he was born 1781. Rebecca Akers FAG # 51474121
As for where was Andrew when he acquired Mary for the most part as a bond servant for what ever reason and could have had to do with her father or herself. But she did work for Andrew with out pay.
