Joseph Garner Moser, 81, of Bloomington, Indiana, passed away Tuesday, August 15, 2017 at the IU Health Hospice House. He was born April 3, 1936 in Bloomington, Indiana the son of Julius E. and Virginia (Garner) Moser.

Joseph was a 1954 graduate of Bloomington High School, and was voted the most scientific boy in Indiana in his junior year of high school. He was a graduate of Indiana University where he received a bachelor’s degree of Science in Chemistry. Joseph was a U.S. Army Veteran. Joseph was a Chemist and worked for Central Pharmaceutical in Seymour, Indiana. Joseph worked with Seymour Site Clean Up from 1987 until his retirement in 2001.

He was a member of The First Baptist Church in Vallonia, Indiana, Time Turner Classic Auto Club in Seymour, and Kingdom Quartet. Joseph loved classic cars, weight lifting and body building, music, playing the piano and organ, and singing. His true passion was his love for science, and tutoring math students at Seymour High School. He will be greatly missed by all who loved and knew him.

Joseph is survived by his wife; Carol C. Moser of Bloomington, his son Mark J. (Patricia) Moser of Bloomington, his daughter Janet M. (Jeff) Corbin of Harrisburg, P.A., three grandchildren, three great grandchildren, step-daughter, Beverly Lynn (Joseph) Hornback, of Fishers, three step-grandchildren, his sister; Sue Moser Pate of Bloomington, one niece, and two nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, one daughter Mandy Moser, and one infant sister, Barbara Moser.
