He leaves behind a son, Lewis O. Cook VI and his "daughter-in-law in training" Patricia A. Howard; four brothers, David, Thomas, Patrick and Billy Cook; and two sisters, Eileen and Betty Cook.
Lewis enjoyed time with his family, cooking and watching his television shows. He was an organ donor. He graduated from North Kingstown High School and took classes at CCRI for first aid. He worked for the North Kingstown School Department, and coached for the North Kingstown wrestling team.
He will be sadly missed, not only by his family and siblings, but also by his co-workers from Brightview Commons and Hasbro, where he worked as a security officer.
A memorial service was celebrated Monday, November 24 at Stony Lane Baptist Church. Burial was private. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Stony Lane Baptist Church, 921 Old Baptist Road, North Kingstown, RI 02852 or a charity of one's choice.
