Dorothy L. Lamb, age 81, of Hancock, passed away early Saturday morning, August 12, 2017 at The Waterford at Wisconsin Rapids Assisted Living.

She was born June 1, 1936 in Hancock, the daughter of Harvey and Lenore (Marshall) Bartram. Dorothy was united in marriage to Charles E. Lamb on January 5, 1955 in Westfield, WI. He preceded her in death on November 21, 2011.

Dorothy worked in lab testing first for the Plainfield Soil Lab then for over 20 years for Schreiber Foods in Wisconsin Rapids. She was a member of the Ladies Aide, Ladies American Legion and the United Church of Christ, all of Hancock. Dorothy and Chuck loved traveling and went on many wonderful trips over the course of their 56 year love filled years of marriage and enjoyed their winters in Mesa, AZ. after retirement where they were blessed with coming friends with a special group of other snow birds. Keeping a house so that as some would say, you could eat off the floors, along with her family were very important to her. She has dealt with Parkinson's disease for approximately 15 years and battled through other health issues over the last year with strength and stubbornness that was amazing to all. She will be missed by many for her quiet kindness and loving heart.

She is survived by her two children, Steven (Kathy) Lamb, Wisconsin Rapids, Kathy Lamb, Plainfield; grandchildren, Stacie Lamb, Tyler Lamb, Kristie Heese, Chuck Heese, Sara (Mike) Fuller and Jen (Cody Hamin) Pelot; great grandchildren, Josie, Bailey and Riley Fuller; one sister, Carol Grundy; her brothers and sisters-in-law, Carol Bartram, Jerry (Sue) Lamb, Rachel Lamb, Patricia Lamb and Dorothy Morrow; several nieces, nephews, other relatives and many special friends.

The family would like to thank the staff at both Arborwood Assisted Living and The Waterford at Wisconsin Rapids for all of their care and support during her stays at their facilities.
