Karen Teeter, 81, of Lewisville, Texas, passed away on Saturday, Aug. 5, 2017.

Graveside services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 26, 2017, at Parklawn Memorial Gardens in Plainview, Texas, with David Hawkins and Tim Owen officiating. Arrangements are under the care of Kornerstone Funeral Directors of Plainview.

Karen was born on Feb. 22, 1936, in Abernathy, Texas, to Beryl and Velma Irlyne Stanton Easley. She graduated from Hale Center High School in 1953. She married J.H. McBeth in 1955, he passed away in 2002. She married Billy Don Teeter in 2004 and he died in 2013. She was the Plainview City Secretary and retired in 2002. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Hale Center.

Survivors include one son, Jay McBeth and his wife Jane of Lewisville, Texas; two daughters, Cynthia Hawkins and her husband David of Lewisville, Texas, and Amy Owen and her husband David of Lewisville, Texas; four grandchildren, Major Brian Hawkins, Seth Hawkins, Kate Green, Connor Owen; and six great-grandchildren.

The family suggests memorials to The American Heart Association or The First United Methodist Church, Box 1258, Hale Center, TX 79041.
