Richard L. Groff, 90, of Londonderry Village, Palmyra passed away Thursday, August 10, 2017 at the home.

Born May 11, 1927 in Palmyra, he was a son of the late Clarence L. and Edith M. (Boyd) Groff and the widower of Grace E. (Espenshade) Groff. He was also preceded in death by his brother Donald E. Groff.

Former co-owner and operator of C. L. Groff Sons, Palmyra, he was a very active lifetime member of the Palmyra Church of the Brethren, serving as Moderator, a lifetime Deacon and several other capacities throughout his life. Dick was a Palmyra Rotary Fellow, former member of the Palmyra Borough Council, and founding board member of the Lebanon Valley Brethren Home.

Surviving are his sons James R. Groff of Monte Sereno, California and J. Stephen Groff of Medfield, Massachusetts; sister Mildred A. Rein of Palmyra; six grandchildren; and three great grandchildren.

A memorial service will be held 11 a.m. Saturday, August 19, 2017 at his church, 45 North Chestnut Street, Palmyra with a visitation and reception to follow in Fellowship Hall. Private interment in Spring Creek Cemetery, Hershey.
