SUFFOLK - Jimmy Gordon Begley, 71, passed away on Sept. 26, 2012, in Riverside Convalescent Center. He was a pipe fitter employed by the Plumbers & Steam Fitters Local Union #540. He was a Baptist.
Jimmy leaves to cherish his memories his wife of 32 years, Polly Fugate Begley; sons, James B. Begley (Beth) of Suffolk, Va., Neil R. Begley of Portsmouth, Va.; daughters, Carol J. Whitley and Leslie J. Begley both of Suffolk, Va.; brother, John R. "Randy" Begley (Cheryl) of Williamsburg, Va.; and grandchildren, Brent L. Whitley, Miranda B. Whitley and Destiny N. Begley all of Suffolk, Va.
Memorial contributions can be made to the Parkinson Disease Foundation, 1359 Broadway, Suite 1509, New York, NY 10018 or to American Diabetes Association, 870 Greenbriar Circle, Suite 404, Chesapeake, VA 23320.
A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, Sept. 29, 2012, with the Rev. Alan Hogge officiating. A visitation will be held on Friday, Sept. 28 between 7 and 8:30 p.m. in Colonial Funeral Home.
